Nevin Transfers to Towson

Local volleyball product Kelly Nevin, who starred at Mount de Sales in high school, transferred to Towson University from Loyola College and will play for the Tigers this fall.

The junior middle blocker played in 17 matches for Loyola in her freshman year, in which she had 10 blocks against Iona and hit a season-high .429 versus Morgan State. She was injured for the better part of her sophomore year.

“Kelly will add the depth at attacker that we greatly need,” head coach Paul Koncir told www.towsontigers.com. “She brings a hard-working and fun personality to our group. She is working hard to bounce back from her time away last year and I have bright hopes for her here at Towson.”

Nevin earned second team All-Baltimore County honors as captain of Mount de Sales during her senior year. She joins sophomore middle blocker/outside hitter Britney Loomis as recent transfers onto the Tigers. Loomis played for East Tennessee State University last season.
