After a loss in penalty kicks in the semifinals of the MIAA A Conference tournament to McDonogh, the Loyola Blakefield Dons and soccer coach Lee Tschantret are ready for the 2008 season.

The Baltimore Bays Under-18 boys soccer team won the inaugural National Soccer Academy championship last weekend in California, beating Los Angeles Football Club, 4-2, in overtime.

The North boys beat the South, 13-12, in the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic. The North girls also won, 13-12.

The 2008 Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic will take place July 12 at Towson. The teams feature 88 high school players from all over the U.S., including 25 players from Maryland.

Andrew Feinberg and Tyler Fiorito (McDonogh), Nick Elsmo (Severn), Peter Fallon (Gilman) and Tim Donovan and Steele Stanwick (Loyola Blakefield) are members of the U.S. Under-19 men's lacrosse team.
